The Embassy of Japan in Vienna (Heßgasse 6, 1010) seeks a full-time assistant (local staff) in the Political and Economic Section.

1. Job description
- Research and analysis of the political and economic situation in Austria and its neighbouring states
- Composing speeches and various other written documents in English
- Translation work (mainly from German to English)
- Clerical and administrative tasks, as well as assisting in such tasks
- Miscellaneous tasks as required by the Embassy
2. Eligibility
- Valid residence and working permit for Austria
- University/College degree (or expected graduation before the start of employment)
- Excellent English and German language skills (Japanese desirable but not required)
- Sound knowledge of MS Office and experience in working as administrative staff
3. Required documents
- Curriculum vitae
- Letter of motivation
- One photo
- University graduation certificate (copy)
- Residence and working permit (for non-EEA residents, copy)
- Letters of recommendations or testimonials (if available, copy)
- Certificate of other qualifications (language certificates etc., copy)
Please note that we will not be returning the provided documents. Only applicants invited to a personal interview will be contacted by the Embassy.
4. Working hours and salary
- Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:30 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.
- The minimum monthly salary will be 2.500€ (gross, including social security contributions) (overpay possible)
