A Koto (Traditional Japanese Harp) Concert

On 9 October 2013, a koto (traditional Japanese harp) concert performed by Ms. Fuyuki Enokido was held at the Official Residence of the Ambassador of Japan to the International Organizations in Vienna. Over 20 guests, including Dr. Lassina Zerbo, Executive Secretary of the CTBTO, H.E. Mr. Philip Griffiths, Head of the Wassenaar Arrangement Secretariat, and senior staff from other international organizations, attended the concert.
After the remarks by Ambassador Toshiro Ozawa, Ms. Enokido played a traditional Japanese folk tune “Sakura, Sakura” (cherry blossom), a piece composed by Michio Miyagi, “Midnight Rain in London”, and “Forest of Wonder”, one of her own compositions.
Guests were impressed by Ms. Enokido’s accomplished performance and showed great interest in the Japanese traditional music instrument, koto.
