Ambassador Ozawa Presented donation from Japanese Drug Abuse Prevention Center to the Executive Director of UNODC to support other NGOs’ drug demand reduction or drug preventing activities

Vienna, 20 March, 2014 – H. E. Ambassador of Permanent Mission of Japan to the International Organizations, Mr. Toshiro Ozawa, Presented an invaluable donation from Japanese Drug Abuse Prevention Center to Mr. Yuri Fedotov, the Executive Director of the UNODC.
The amount of the donation was 19.3 million yen (approximately 190 thousand dollars) and will be used to support the activities of drug demand reduction programmes and public awareness programmes on drug abuse prevention of hundreds of grass-rooted NGOs in Asia, Africa, Middle East, Latin America and Caribbean, and Eastern Europe.
