Thank you, Chair,
Japan welcomes the decision by Tonga to conclude an Additional Protocol (AP) to its Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement (CSA). We highly commend the efforts of the Secretariat and relevant member States which led to this decision. The AP Friends Group has also carried out our joint outreach to Tonga. We hope that the conclusion will be completed at an early date.
Japan encourages all Member States that have not yet done so to conclude an AP as soon as possible.
