Signing and Exchange of Notes on UNIDO ITPO Tokyo

On 6 December, Ambassador HIKIHARA Takeshi of the Permanent Mission of Japan to the International Organizations in Vienna, and Dr. Gerd Müller, Director-General of UNIDO signed and exchanged Notes regarding a six-year project of the UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Tokyo (ITPO Tokyo) from January 2023 to December 2028.
 
ITPO Tokyo was established in 1981 based on an agreement between Japan and UNIDO for promoting private investment from Japan to developing countries.
ITPO Tokyo introduces investment plans of developing countries to Japan, provides trainings for the delegations of developing countries, dispatches investment promotion advisors and supports projects for private investment promotion.
 
Through ITPO Tokyo, Japan will contribute to the achievement of inclusive and sustainable industrial development taking advantage of the unique offer of Japanese private companies.
