Additional contribution by Japan to the IAEA ReNuAL project
2016/4/25
The Government of Japan decided to contribute additional funds of 2 million Euro to the IAEA for the Renovation of the Nuclear Applications Laboratories (ReNuAL) project. This is Japan’s third contribution to the project through the Peaceful Uses Initiative (PUI), and the message was delivered in the meeting between Foreign Minister Kishida and Director General Amano in Tokyo on 25 April.
Japan fully supports IAEA’s activities conducted under the slogan of “Atoms for Peace and Development”, and it believes that smooth implementation of this project is critical for the IAEA to continue contributing to economic and social development of its Member States through the application of nuclear technology. We hope that Japan’s contribution will expedite and solidify the implementation of the project.
